Charles is a local artist He became interested in art as a career in the mid 1970’s whilst serving in the forces. Since then he has supported himself in his art with a dual career as a nurse.

He has held several residential positions, such as in Lincoln and Sheffield Cathedrals and has exhibited over forty times, the majority being one man shows.
He has completed over one hundred projects, these often take the form of ink, water colour, photography and written account of his travels; recent projects are about the Scilly Isles, Dungeness and traveling along the River Danube. Other projects take a subject such as the current project, by looking at trees in their ecological settings

Charles is interested in Mental health work; working with Woking Mind and Epsom LMLMM organisations. He also runs local art groups.

During the recent lockdown he has taken the opportunity to work on several projects in his studio; in particular he is still looking at earlier mentioned trees.
