The exciting and often unpredictable art of printmaking began for me at school with an experimental art teacher. I then took a detour into a career in nursing but am now back in the pursuit of the alignment of stars that is a successful print.
Statement / Description / Article:
I am interested in how we communicate ideas through the words we leave behind, the things we build and how we express ourselves through movement.
The possibilities for interpretation are boundless but for me they are anchored and inspired by a limited colour palette dominated by the warmth of burnt umber and Payne's Grey, which the painter George Shaw described as "the colour of English rain".
